Welcome to THE WANDERERS CRICKET CLUB.
"Floreant Peregrini"
1873 was a busy year. In USA (new President Ulysses S. Grant) Bell produced his new electric telephone. In Chislehurst, the funeral of exile Napoleon III of France took place. Ships used the new Suez Canal. Gladstone told Queen Victoria, in the 38th year of her reign, of his new cabinet. "Poultry World" was first published. More importantly - well, we think so - 3 men met in Clapham to set up the club which became The Wanderers Cricket Club. By and large, it has prospered ever since as may be confirmed by looking at our fixture list.
